Transportation Security Administration

So I recently flew to Tucson, Arizona. Beautiful place, check out a couple of my pics www.myspace.com/the_great_puma from the 5 hours free time I had while I was there. Anyhow, 5:30 AM Monday morning I just cleared security and sat down to put my shoes on at our wonderful local airport - Dayton International. I looked back toward security and noticed an old man maybe 75 years or so. He was being frisked and wanded. As he sat down one of our highly educated and exceptionally trained TSA agents found a full size tube of toothpaste in his carry on luggage! THE HORROR!

As I watched the TSA monkey pull it out of his bag I noticed it was maybe 2/3 to 3/4 empty. There couldn't have been more than 2 oz of toothpaste in it. However, this woman told the old man - "...see, the label says 9 oz. You cannot take this on board", and proceeded to throw his toothpaste in the trash.

This got me thinking about what a joke the TSA has become.

This country has spent billions on airport security to make sure they catch all the 75 year olds attempting to carry 2 oz of toothpaste onto the plane. Great Job Guys! No matter how hard we try, we can't keep weapons out of prisons. What makes you think we can keep them out of airports? It's time to end the US TSA charade, it's gone on long enough. It's overpriced and essentially worthless as we are no more secure now than we were on Sept. 10, 2001. Let's stop spending billions throwing away toothpaste and start thinking about how to solve the problem.
